Lim gasket 3800.

I'm going to change out the LIM gaskets on my 3800, and I was wondering what difference between unpinned, and pinned gaskets were? I know felpro sells both, but I didn't want to buy anything until I made sure what the difference was. Also, would it be better to go with GM's revised aluminum...As bad as my LIM gasket was I'm sure fluid could have gotten sucked into the intake chambers though, because the gasket pretty much fell apart in my hands when I removed it. ... Change the upper intake manifold, not just its gasket. The LIM gaskets that are most often recommended are the ACDelco metal gaskets. 89017816 is an ACDelco part number for yours but IDK if these are the plastic or the metal ones. Not sure which UIM is best. I used a Dorman UIM and FelPro gaskets on my car and was pleased.
