It's poise damage was cut from 40 to 10, so it is considerably worse at stance breaking as of 1.08. Cragblade on high poise damage weapons, Impaling Thrust, and Square Off R2 are all great off the top of my head.
Adding flame of the redmanes can stagger almost all enemies in 2 or 3 hits which can be used on a high critical weapon like the rapier or misericorde for high damage. I prefer also using a shield with the carian retaliation or golden parry AoW if you prefer parrying.
