in the options, you can find the superb survivors tab. you want to set the spawn rate to very low. follow the second step in this tutorial. for me i have 16gb ram, so I allocated 12000something something and it seems to help with performance. please feel free to share some performance and general tips so I can expand this further.

A: I began the "Survivors" NPC mod series back in build 39 with the "Survivors!" Mod. With each major base game version update a separate mod was created to fix/support the base game changes. Build 40 was "Super Survivors!" Mod. Then with build 41 the Animations build we made "Superb Survivors" . Eventually I became inactive in the PZ …This is an unofficial upkeep of the mod Superb Survivors! which is or was known as SSR. Link to the mod on steam in the description section which also links the wiki to the parent repo. And based on owner's seems to be SSR's official continuation. The official mod on steam is several versions ahead of the source this is forked from.

However the focus of this mod will be to make the Survivors take care of themselves without the player controlling every aspect of what they do.
