(not the sporting) I have shot recreational skeet with both of these shotguns and the Beretta is much softer shooting with 1 1/8 ounce target loads.The Affinity has an oversized bolt release and bolt handle, while the M2 has Benelli's ComforTech stock that is advertised as helping with recoil. Speaking of stocks, the Affinity has a somewhat oddly shaped proprietary recoil pad that is not terribly easy to replace should that become an issue for you.
