Looking for opinions on these two hotels for a family of four (2 adults, 2 boys ages 9 and 14) visiting from 11/21/23 to 11/25/23. I currently have a reservation at The Royal at Atlantis, but just recently my wife heard negative reviews from a few of her clients.

However that’s not to say kids won’t enjoy bahamar, they have a kids pool I believe, a water park, pools and a beautiful beach. Bahamar food is 1000000% better. Atlantis food can be subpar that is not a lie. I wouldn’t tell you not to go to Atlantis though it’s still a good resort ... Atlantis is huge and walking from one area to the next is a lot of walking. Baha Mar is way more stroller/handicap friendly than Atlantis. But Baha Mar has limited kid activities with practically no entertainment for them after dinner. The shopping at Atlantis is much more diverse, plentiful, and cheaper. But in the last years Margaritaville and Baha Mar - two Caribbean icons - have opened resorts close to Nassau and offer day passes to passengers visiting the cruise port for the day. While two resorts opened in Nassau, the British Colonial Hilton has closed its door.The grounds and hotels on site are all beautiful. They make very good use of the much smaller footprint they have than Atlantis. There are plenty of pools and cabanas to enjoy. The beach is excellent. The restaurants on site are very good. We ate at Cleo and Katsuya for dinners and 3 Tides for breakast.

Atlantis is tired and Baha Mar is brand new. But super incredibly expensive to eat there. Do not I repeat do not go to the sugar factory and or if you do happen to go there literally do not get the rainbow cake. The pools are legit crazy awesome at Baha Mar as is the water park. No lines whatsoever when we were there.
