I'm pretty new to the game and inevitably got bit, but decided to act defiant against any zombie knowledge I had and just put a bandage on it. I took a few sleeping pills and slept expecting my character to be a zombie by morning but instead he was in good health. Bite protection on clothing can save you, but that requires alot of work and knowledge to get up to a high enough level, and even then theres a chance a bite can slip past. The best bite protection is to not get bitten at all, but maxxed out clothing armor can be a close 2nd. #6. I tested this just last week and no, bites will NOT kill you on Everyone's Infected settings. Your wounds can get infected, but it means bacterial infection (which can end up as a fever and can be treated with disinfection and antibiotics) and not Knox Virus infection which ends up only with death.
