Regardless of it being a key date they cant make you use more PPTO than the shift you work (IE if you work a 6 hour shift on the key date you only use 6 hours not 12). So if you miss have a shift then you receive 1 attendance point, instead of half. If you use P (rotected)PTO you still receive half a point. If you use ppto for anything, it prevents the points.
