The Jakl utilizes a long-stroke gas system, not too much, unlike an AK series rifle. PSA ditched the buffer and buffer tube we are used to seeing on a AR 15 for an internal buffer system. This allows for folding and collapsing stocks. PSA utilizes a 1913 rail at the back of the gun for compatibility with the SIG series of braces and stocks.

Prices aren't decided yet. Since the initial announcement materials costs have gone up dramatically. If I had to guess, and with zero input from PSA, I expect the JAKL to launch around $1200. They have changed from launching a 7.5″ 300 Blackout and are now planning to launch with a 10.5″ in 5.56 Nato chambering.
