I am assuming the carb is running too rich. How do I adjust the fuel to air mixture?It only does it in 2 wheel drive. When it starts this clunking/binding sound, if I reach up and put in to 4X4 it goes away. Sometimes if I drive in circles and or figure 8's it seems to go away. So I suspect that it is getting caught between 4x4 and 2 wheel drive, or maybe an axle isn't releasing/disengauging in the front end.The Kawasaki Mule lost all brakes and had to use the e brake to stop it. The green mule had an engine but it has a hole in the back of the block hense the Yamaha swap. I hear the engines in these Mules are a little low on HP for the size of the vehicle anyway. I'm trying to decide how to do all the hookups with the engine setting inplace and looking forward. The Yamaha is shaft drive with CW rotation.

I know in an earlier post that I reported the secondary wiring being "open" on the rear coil but after removing both coils and placing them on the bench I came up with the following readings: Rear Coil. I have changed the plugs, cleaned the carb, changed the fuel filter, blown out the hose going into the gas tank, and drained the gas twice which had some sediment in it but still cant get it to run right.

Bumping the throttle causes the idle to decrease and allows grind free shifting. I have lowered the idle on my mule to allow shifting but the problem is that the engine doesn't like to idle that slow and usually stalls.Mule igniter. The field excitement from the power source, the stator (charging coil) is also incompatible between the two systems, so the ignitors are also unique and not interchangeable.
