Actually "A2" designation was given when OTB became standard feature (A1 was given when firing pin safety was added). Before "A2" OTB was "special order feature". If that happens I wonder how much they will go for compared to a MR556 upper only (if that happens). Is the HK416 BCG compatible with the MR556? They are getting harder and harder to come by that are all original, not pieced together. Expect to pay $5,000 plus for a nice one.A big part of the allure of an authentic HK416 is the chrome lined barrel, which you won't be getting with the Brownell's kit. I would recommend buying an MR556 and an authentic HK416 upper. That's what most guys do, and you could sell the MR556 upper to help offset the cost of the HK416 upper.
