From what we know, it is a Ithaca 9994 Hammerless (12ga) with a Damascus barrel that is not "rated" for modern loads. It has never been fired as well! Pretty nice engravings running throughout the receiver as well. It has been passing down through the family for quite some time now and we would like to know what we have! Any help is appreciated ... Your shotgun is chambered for the 16 gauge 2 9/16" shell. Ithaca did not chamber the 2 3/4" 16 gauge shell until 1934. I suggest you look at 16 gauge 2 1/2" shells made by RST and Polywad for your shotgun.

The gun is a double barrel Ithaca, 16 gauge, I think. I found the serial number under one of the barrels, and the same number on the metal part that the barrel closes down on. The number is 349032. I always assumed it was probably worth a couple of hundred bucks. Sentimental value is why I wanted it.
