Murakamo is good if u have strength so is curved dragon great sword. If ur using no shield I suggest 2 katanas or 2 rapiers.The mace is the best PVE weapon in the game. Even if you are doing something like an all-in DEX build, sorry to say that a similarly upgraded mace is still gonna outclass those high DEX-scaling weapons for the majority of enemies in the game. A good PvE weapon is all about the moveset. Slash is the weakest form of damage IIRC, but slash weapons are usually faster and lighter than the heavy-hitting strike weapons. My go-to's for a "Quality Build" (all weapons, no fancy shit) are a slash/thrust weapon, a slow-but-hard-hitting weapon, and a spear/rapier for narrow corridors and/or bosses.
