I have considered turning it on but when i did in the past it seemed like overkill, Movies and shows I've watched have had multiple zombies hit with certain weapons (machetes, Katana, Etc). There is a mod for that, it's called multihit limiter. It allows you to toggle what weapons, the strength and fitness you need and the weapon skill needed to activate multi hit. To be fair, short 1-handed weapons aren't that easy to multi-hit, it's actually very hard. I think that's realistic considering their size.
