I bought a 2017 KIA Rio from a private seller yesterday with 75k miles. It drives great. Today I turn on the car to drive it to get smogged, and I’m shocked to see an engine light come on. 2 OBD II scans later and it’s a code P0455, large EVAP leak. No other codes.

Driving it for a while allowed the gas to evaporate, thus returning the canister to its normal state. Even though the Check Engine light is now OFF, the P0455 code still comes up when the codes are read.
