PSA seems to be changing the game now with the AAC ammunition that uses the correct 9377G bullet, at 2700 fps, at a tremendous bargain price. IMO the most important question that needs to be answered is whether the box spec of 2700 fps is referenced to an 18", 20" or 24" barrel.

I chrono'd some 2014 CBC 5.56 77gr and some 2014 IMI 5.56 77gr as a comparison to the AAC 77gr OTM. The CBC 5.56 77gr was doing an average of 2873fps out of the Krieger, previous testing of the same lot of 2014 CBC 77gr from a FN CHF 20" 5.56 chamber was an average of 2752fps.Branded as "77gr Razor Core", IMI's version sports annealed 5.56mm NATO cases, neck and primer sealant, and of course 77gr Open Tip Match projectiles. Continuing on from the first installment, we are now looking at the velocity test results for the 16.1″ and 20″ barrels. The test procedure was as follows:Old 24" DPMS 1:9 barrel. 2.260" OAL, 2.280" to the lands with the 77 smk. Depending on the powder, ~2850 fps seemed to be 223 max pressure, 2925 fps for 556. Might get 3-4 loading at 2850, one and done at 2925. With a 16" barrel Quickload gives 2610 and 2680 fps for the limits.

So reached out to Matt on reddit (Palmetto CS representative) they exchanged the remaining 100rds of 75gr BTHP for 77gr and not only that but gave me the entire order. So despite having shot 200rds of the 300, with the issues as documented. They gave me 300 of the 77gr OTM. Very impressed in that regard.I hope to get to the range this weekend.
