I exchanged my S&W 686 Plus Performance Center original wood grips for these. While the wood is eye appealing and looks good holstered, they lack shock absorption. These Hogue Rubber grips install easily w/o any additional modifications , are solid, and after firing a couple of hundred .357 Magnum my hand and wrist felt just fine.
